Learn this work from the inside
Interns at SixOneThree work directly alongside Brooke, not on the margins doing busywork. I am not hiring to offload work. I am hiring because I genuinely want to mentor someone and introduce them to a practice area that few law students consider. I have found this work deeply rewarding, and after personally litigating more than 700 hearings, I am eager to bring someone along and pass on what I have learned.
You will research and draft across whichever of our practice areas interest you, though it would be most valuable to build experience in IESP fee litigation, ABA compensatory cases, tuition reimbursement, and AI legal technology.
I will teach you how to onboard a case, review the evidence to identify what makes a strong one, and communicate effectively with clients. You will sit in on hearings to observe my objection and cross-examination strategy and how I structure a closing. You will also draft appeals, due process complaints, and ten-day notices, and learn the tendencies of the hearing officers you would appear before.
